A Sign Of The Times

Yankees ban alcohol from club house

The A’s did this last year after Estaban Loaiza received a DUI. This year we have the unfortunate incident with St. Louis pitcher Josh Hancock who died while drunk and driving. No one really objects to ‘having a beer” after the game, but some individuals have problems with drinking and teams see themselves held liable if they let their players drink at work.

Let’s hope some lessons can be learned and those that need help from the scourge of alcohol abuse can get the help they need.
