That Giant Sigh Of Relief You Just Heard Was From Bud Selig

Because he did not want last night’s All Star game to end in another tie. it came close as both teams were out of pitchers when the American League finally won it in the 15th inning on a sacrifice fly. With every inning that passed, when the cameras showed the commissioner, he seemed to squirm a little more. I found it comical when the announcers said, “What will they do if it’s a tie? Hit home runs to see who has home field advantage in the World Series?”

I do like how MLB does the pre-game festivities. No other sport has the history like baseball and it brings goose bumps when we get to see some of the old timers. For my money, Willie Mays is baseball and always will be and it was great to see him back in New York last night.
