President Obama’s Non Response To Freedom Loving Iranians

If the United State does not stand for freedom, then what do we stand for?

Gateway Pundit has an excellent piece today going over the differences between President Bush and President Obama regarding this subject.

“All who live in tyranny and hopelessness can know: the United States will not ignore your oppression, or excuse your oppressors. When you stand for your liberty, we will stand with you.”

President George W. Bush
Second Inaugural Speech
January 20, 2005

This weekend as rioting broke out across Iran the Obama administration released this statement:

“This is a debate among Iranians about Iran’s future.”

Head in the sand deplomacy gives the Iranian Government the opportunity to bring in the Amry and crush this freedom crusade without any consequences. At least state you are on the side of those whose voices are not being heard Mr. President. Your party had no problem doing so when they shouted to the rooftops about the Presidential election of 2000. Why is this different? By staying neutral, you give those in power the impression that you are on their side.

If this turns bad, and there are many indicators that it might, there will be blood on your hands Mr. President. Ignorance in no excuse and inaction emboldens those who want to suppress freedom.

Hot Air reminds us of how President Reagan spoke up when a similar situation happened in Poland in 1981.

I will says this again as it is VERY important.

If we do not stand for freedom, then what do we stand for?
